Functional description

Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC)

  • A diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) is an aftertreatment component that is a designed to convert carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbons (HC) into carbon dioxide (C02) and water.
  • DOC coating with Platinum/Palladium catalysts oxidases harmful pollutants to harmless gas.
    • CO + O2 - CO2
    • HC+O2 - CO2 + H2O
  • DOC helps in NO - NO2 conversion for passive soot regeneration
  • 20% PM reduction through oxidation of Soluble organic fractions (SOF)

Catalysed Diesel Particulate Filter (CDPF)

  • CDPFs reduce particulate matter, oxidize hydrocarbons, and carbon monoxide in the exhaust to carbon dioxide and water.
  • CDPFs coated with Pt catalyst leads highly efficient passive regeneration (NO2+C NO+CO2)
  • Wall flow porous filter-Traps soot and ash
  • Highly efficient passive regeneration Emission reduction efficiency
    • PM Reduction level >95%
    • * Optional CO, THC, NOx Reduction level >80%
  • Continuously regenerated even at low exhaust temperatures (>180C)
